Some hotels can only take your booking for a few days - which, if you're lucky, will co-incide with another of your preferred hotels having a vacancy for the ensuing period. Hotels are especially if you book late. Sometimes having to move makes you get out of your comfort zone & discover new places.
I had to change hotels from Poppies 1 in Kuta (my recent comfort zone) to near Jl66 & was glad I did - such very different areas. I had lived in Legian Kaja yonks ago but had drifted away from it.
Anyway, it takes me only 15 mins max to pack up all my stuff - & I always travel with way too much "stuff", as many females do.
If you travel around Bali, as we always do, then it is so easy peasy to pack bags, load the car, get out the maps & explore. "On the jalan again" LOL. The anticipation of new sights & experiences makes the very minor hassle of packing worthwhile.
Again, as with everything, people have different agenda & requirements.
