If you are getting welts then you are allergic to them and need antihistamine cream or tablets immediately or the welts can inflame and last for up to 2 weeks.
Any chemist in Bali will carry the antihistamine products you need as its quite common.
If it was bed bugs the rash/welts would usually eventually appear around your arms or chest area but mostly your buttocks and the rear extreme top of your legs initially.
Bed bugs can also live in cane furniture and the cushions so make sure nothing has hitched a ride back to your room.
The two symptoms can easily be mistaken as bed bugs or cane mite.
