i have recently paid some accom for november and I rang the hotel direct, gave my cc details over the phone and asked them to email me confirmation. I was not asked for PP details this time but previously I have told them "to be confirmed" and just show my PP on arrival. I also stated on the phone that these details were confidential and I would hold them responsible if there was any misuse as I had not given this info to anyone else. Everybody happy this way
