IT really depends on your budget. The cheaper hotels are along a stretch of beach called Jungabatu bay. It has white sand and nice blue water but you can't swim there all day as the tide goes out a long way. We stay along the bay as we all surf so all the surfbreaks are out there. If you are looking at more 4 to 5 star there are many hotels along the hill overlooking the bay, places such as Coconuts, Lembongan Reef, Ware Ware- all offer nice accomodation for between $50 to $100 a night. The other place that a lot of people stay is Mushroom Beach, a little bit more expensive but nice beach, does get busy during the day though with the day trippers.
Along Jungabatu bay a lot of hotels have recently put in pools. Ketuts Bungalows has a nice one but friends enquired about price and were told 500,000rp a night, which was quickly bargained down to 400,000rp, Main Ski has a nice pool but have heard some not so good reports about the rooms, think he charges around $35 a night. Agus Shipwreck bar and bungalows have just put in a nice pool and their rooms are pretty good value. We stay at Puri Nusa which doesn't have a pool but we know a lot of the other hotel owners and we swim in their pools.
We are back again next Tuesday for a seven night quick trip, going over for a cremation, so if you mention dates I can find out some contact details and prices for you.
