I go to Bali a couple of times a year and about every second trip is a solo. As much as I love travelling with friends & family I also enjoy my alone trips. So here are a few places I like to go and shop & eat. During my last trip 3 weeks ago the best buy I had was new handmade leather handbags.Had a great find in Made from 234 The House of Leather in Garlic Lane - on the same side as Ketut's but down the JL Padma end. She made me 3 beautiful leather hand bags 2 black and one tomato red. One of the black ones had silver studs and the red one brass studs. They are all beautifully made in the finest soft leather cost 600,000rp each about $75AU at the current exchange rate which was between 7500 - 7700 while I was there. Took only 5 (can do them in 4 if necessary)days to make the 3 bags and I will be heading straight there next year to place another order. Tell her Caroline sent you.You can go online and find a designer bag you like and take a copy of it (it will even have measurements) and Made will copy it perfectly. I also love to go spaing and the best one was just a few minutes from the leather shop its Santai Spa Jl. Padma Utara No.2 Legian massage about 80,000rp but this place is top classes beautiful, clean and qualified staff. I also like to get at Aromas on JL. Legian just south of JL. Srwjaya. Aromas has a bakery in the front and then the most calming relaxing dining in the back its know of great fresh vegetarian food and having the most beautiful & clean loos. For a cheap but tasty meal go to Warung Yogya on JL.Padma North. Also visit Ketut's fixed price in Garlic lane & bought 2 LV overnite bags at for 100,000rp each and the 30,000rp board shorts I get for my son and grandsons also from this lovely lady. She never forgets you and the prices never seem to go up. Also bought several sunglasses for the guy next door 25,000rp each. Enjoy your holiday cheers
