Mini-break in Bali.........
We flew Garuda and could not fault them. Lots of food, blankets pillows, movies, arrived on-time..what more can you ask for? We had 2 nights at the Mercure in Kuta which was quite satisfactory, really close to the beach and all the main shopping. We ate at Uns, and Kori.
Both were excellent. The hotel had a lovely infinity edge pool on the 4th level, over looking Kuta surf beach. Then we set off to the Bali Villas in Seminyak. This was not our first time to Bali, but our first Villa experience.WOW..!!! These Villas are stunning and so private and peaceful. Nothing is a problem for the staff, the breakfast is included and the staff come to your villa at your nominated time and proceed to cook your scrumptious choice of the menu, (every morning) & then promptly leave you to enjoy!! Our own private pool and courtyard, and walking distance to the shops in Seminyak... I did not want to leave. We ate at Ku-de-ta which is in my top ten list of restaurants in the world (my world anyway ). I must admit the setting was stunning as always, but the food was just sooooooo over priced I dont think I would bother again. Tried Ryoshi a Japanese place on the main drag and it was great! Loved it. We also went to Warung Made which was packed, with a band and a huge menu. Didnt have a lot of time for shopping, soaked up the sun, the weather was beautiful, sunny & quite windy. Had room service in our villa on the last night with dvds and then got picked up by our transfers and dropped at airport. We relaxed in the Prada lounge until our flight was boarding, had a very smooth flight home.!! Had a lovely time and already thinking about when we can get back there...!!! Thanks for reading.
