You probably won't get anything bamboo through Quarantine, so don't bother. Bunnings have flares cheap. Unagi has lovely green banana leaf-like serving dishes & vases cheap. Lots of other stuff, too. I'd do pricing in Oz, go to Unagi, Biarritz, Geneva or wherever, compare the prices with home & make your decision. You could always get your daughter to draw & colour frangipanis on serviettes, etc.
Be sure the birthday boy has some tight short shorts to wear with his flowered shirt & a huge mo a la Tom Selleck. AND be sure to post pics:)
