sure it was not nor will be the last time this happens to travellers not just in Bali. The KTH are no different to other hotels in Bali, given the chance they will try it on with anyone not just "first time travellers" Annoying, yes, life changing, doubt it. I did note that they were not kicking them out of the hotel but rather moving them to another room and I agree a major inconvenience. As far as the girls go, and by now we all know that they were young adults ( adults being the operative word ) on their first o/s trip this problem did not kill them. It did not harm them or damage them in any way, hopefully they can use this experience to better cope with their future travels of which I hope there will be a lot more. Sometimes people have to learn and react to something themselves to actually get the point. I have read your posts and can only comment on your situation as a result of these posts. I really wonder if the girls had had more input into the overall trip experience ( this being bookings, emailing accommodation, flights, insurance, basically all the pre travel details which you seem so thoroughly to have done for them ) they might not have been better served in dealing with this problem. If you closet your daughter at home as much as you seem to have done with this trip I fear ( hopefully incorrectly ) she is in for more severe knocks in the future. You said yourself in an earlier post this was the first time your daughter had actually packed her own bag for an o/s trip, in her early twenties, good god. This is not a criticism of your parenting but as much as you hate it there comes a time to let go.
I think you provided an answer to a lot of peoples thought's when you stated in one of these posts that you wanted the girls to fall in love with Bali just like you did 15 years ago. The big difference is they are not you, hopefully they are individuals who make their own choices and have their own experiences.
Hopefully once the girls return they will submit a JBR of their OWN experiences, unaided, unedited and unassisted by anyone. I would look forward to reading this.
