Go through the usual routine -walk, breakfast, massage. Mr 50 & Stu claim BB has returned. Take a few of the gang up to Seminyak shopping. Miss 16 & G go in every store -and I mean EVERY store. I travel slightly ahead and sample different temperatures of Bintang whilst waiting. Had a chat with one of the lasses working at the Champagne Bar. Very groovy outfits -red uniforms, little pill box hats and funky white boots. Menu has every type of champagne & very expensive but I figure lots may love the atmosphere and enjoy a special drink. No hawkers as we amble along. Still laughing at Pop yesterday when we were at Sanur. As previously mentioned, we were surrounded by the queen of the hawkers. I had picked up a tip from this forum a few months ago in which the easiest(aussie english) way to say 'no thank you' was 'tear up my car seat'. I had imparted this valuable info to Pop and still laughing 24 hours later remembering him trying to handle this situation by loudly stating (whilst smiling) 'Go crash your car'.Back at Seminyak and finally made our way down to Made's Warung. Still gotta love this place. Green Chicken Curries, Tom Yum soup, Rice, guacamole, bintangs, g & ts, lemonades -came to about $6 each. Plus food was yum. Walked further down to Silverberry's. Have to agree with all reports. beautiful jewelery and reasonable prices.Looked next door at 'Birkin Handbags' which were well made but had to pass at 3.2 million rupiah. What has happened to Top Ten? They use to have more upmarket bags than the stalls but I can't find them. Had a taxsi follow us down the road and then suddenly turned sharply into the road we were crossing -narrowly missing us and blared his horn. Nearly had a Tom Yum return. Returned to hotel and went for an evening stroll on the beach. Loads of locals playing soccer, heat of the day was waning, sun beginning to set -doesn't get any better than this! Had dinner at the Bella Rosa within the Padma. Ok but expensive. This was my least favourite meal of the trip but had to appease the invalids who were still recovering from BB. Funny how an afternoon of Bintangs and G&Ts by the pool doesn't seem to affect them?? Early night.
