just a quick jbr from our trip to bail as always we had a great time eat way to much and the bintangs for the most were cold .
we started off at legian at the kumala again a nice hotel but very full first time i have seen it full but with the amount of people that are now arriving in Bali i'm not surprised. this trip was mostly for a final dentist trip for me and shopping for the wife the shopping seemed to be same same but different prices seem to be a lot higher than last august and the haggling was also a little harder but the smiles were still there.
food as always was fantastic we decided this trip we were going to look at eating much more of the cheaper local food that was off the carts and or made in the markets and we were so glad we did not only did we have great food priced well the flavor just seemed to improve with the way it was cooked out in the open with all the other market smells blended in.
wife had some shirts made at Brisbane tailor 600000 for 3 fitted shirts also a leather pair of shoes made at suci collection down the ally next to billy's on garlic lane.
the wife had some things made at mayang with some opals i have had brought over with us total was 1 ring with two opals 2 ear rings with an opal each 1 pendent plus a gold chain total cost was AUD1500 plus had my wedding band cleaned for free.
my shopping was limited to some denim shorts and some tees mostly bought them from Mr Patrick in the markets at the end of garlic lane on the right hand side easy to deal with and well priced and if he does not have what you want he will go get it for you .
went to poco loco twice as a rule i'm not a big fan of this place but my wife loves it but i must say the food way much improved this time around and i enjoyed it but they kill you with the cost of drinks we took in some jd in a bottle and just ordered mixers which made the bill a little more easier on the eye.
