here geoffd wife, just back last month and have been banded since sept09, I had travel insurance for my lapband thinking that if needed I could get treatment especially if I had any thing stuck....I got something stuck 6 days before due to fly home and was worse time of my life 2 days before flyinghome I attended BIMC and the big hospital near denparsar and no one had any idea how to help me they did talk about sucking something out and I thought its either get a early flight home or see if you can manage i was travelling ok up untill the last day no food but was sucking on ice so I didnt get dehydrated and trying so hard to get unstuck with no success.

Next time I go I will be sure to take my magic bullet so I can have shakes and also snackes from home most times I had soup but if your out for day trips its hard to pick something suitable, even if I had snack pack of purredd fruit or dry biscuits, I will be sure when I go next time that im running my band a bit loose, my Dr has said that he will give me a needle to take so if needed they can use or im even thinking as my port is below my belly button I could even do my self in an emergency.

Take care please and be prepared
Trish
