Am currently staying in Amed for the week at Blue Moon Villas. Fantastic place to stay. At $72 US a night I find it good value for money. Top quality accommodation, service and food.

Have tried numerous places to eat and reccomend the local warungs as the best value for money. Tried Sails and was fantastic. There is also Warung Bobo right on the Beach - 8/10. Warung Ketut in the village of Leyan - 8/10 and Warung Kemulen in Leyan as well - 8/10.

These little warungs don't see a lot of people but are probably some of the best meals and cleanest kitchens I have seen anywhere in Bali. It makes everywhere on the Kuta/Legian/Seminyak side seem pretty much second rate. And by the way on average for 2 entrees, 2 mains and 4 small beers we have been paying around 130K. Can't get better value than that considering the beers account for 60K.

Recommend anyone travelling in the Amed area to try some of the smaller Warungs - you will be surprised. Mainly a European market is catered for here so quality has to be very high
