Half a day and full day - how many hours do you actually mean?
Where your boat docks will have a big influence on where you should be looking to stay and base your explorations from. You don't want to be spending 4hrs in travel from one side of the island to the other just to get to your accomodation.
What I would suggest is that you go to your local bookshop and buy a Lonely Planet on Bali. It will be a great investment and you can have a look at areas close to where your boat leaves and arrives etc. Bali is a relatively small island but there is a whole lot to see and many of the "must see" things just can't be done all in one day. So if you had a look through the LP guide and found a few things that interest you, we might be able to give more specific advice based on that.
Congrats on the prize too - lucky you!
