it's a basic buffet breakfast, but very basic. there's plenty of bread for toast and usually two different types of pancakes, with jam and honey, - these kept me going. but when on holiday i do like to eat a bit more for breakfast as i am walking all day. the other food on offer (it varied each day, you'd only get about four choices) was chicken sausages (tiny, dried up but ok to eat), bacon one day (which looked like flattened and blow-torched beef jerky!), baked beans (90% sauce, 8% beans, 2% tomato chunks), noodles (very bland), eggs (soft boiled one day, half fried the next - didn't eat as half-cooked egg is dangerous from a food hygiene standpoint), and fruit. the quality was just very poor. plenty of coffee, tea and juice available. there was a sign saying you should only take what you can eat as you would be charged for uneaten food, but i couldn't eat the shoeleather/bacon and left it in the plate and nothing was said.
having said that, it didn't bother me too much, i could easily have eaten elsewhere if i wanted a decent feast. but it was enough to make a start to the day, and left more room for a big lunch at one of the great restaurants nearby!
