you are staying at the lodge but i dont think they will let you in as a day tripper until it actually opens!
Last year we were staying at the lodge and got private transport there,we had trouble getting in at the front gates,we arrived just before the first tour vans.

Elephant back safari $48 US adult(child over 3 years)
sun rise horse ride $35 US
night safari $10 US (min 2 pax)
Mara lodge rack rate for a 2 bed bungalow is $225 US but much cheaper on wotif!
I think you would be better off staying the night as we did!
After staying the night i could never go as a day tripper,and why would i want too? it can work out just as cheap if not cheaper to stay the night and get a full day and a half.
