We go once to twice a year and never organise transfers. We go immediately to a taxi driver and say "Do you have a meter?" great Meter on and lets go to .... whatever hotel we are staying at. They then know you aren't going to negotiate with price and will hapily stick to the metered price. Having said that. We always tip. It leaves everyone happy! I would way rather pay extra to a taxi driver than some big hotel reaping the rewards.
