I must say that we have over many years of travel we have tried to immerse ourselves in the local culture where ever possible, and that includes the food!

I will admit that I am un-Australian, in that I don't like Vegemite, rather my morning spread of choice is Pormite, however I am not that keen on it to have to take it with me when we are on holidays.

So if you must you must!

Having said that I have to say I pity those who travel and who do not at least try something from the local cuisine, I know of those who only eat at a well known fast food outlet when they travel, one family from England I know of, took 2 days, with stopovers, to get to Australia for a holiday and lived on Potato Crisps and Coke until they could get to a Mackers, how sad!

It will be noted that in my review of food while we were there I did only mention the more western foods we had , please forgive me we did eat Bali style at other times, and as always found it delightful.

Regards, BJC
