When we have checked out places over the years we have gone to the place and asked about costs, when they say their price you can ask if this is the best price. Also if staying longer than the usual 3-6 nights then ask about longer stay price. We have nearly always had a special price written on a piece of paper (Quietly, or secretly..)And if no change in price....no harm in asking.....I believe some people do this bargaining in emails too!..
