Taman Sari (one of the three? big ones next to the beach) standard rooms good, nice outside bathrooms, if you get number 23 or 24 you have view to the sea (one is twin, one is double), lots of space in the gardens. Our next visit is October and all the standards were booked out, so we've got the Dolphin Suite. The new villas are no where near the beach but have their own pool, but the main resort pool is right next to the beach area and has a good pool bar.
Also stayed at Jubawa Homestay.... very clean bungalows in the main street of Pemuteran, good budget choice. nice food at restaurant, friendly staff, no frills, good air con, you feel like you are living right in balinese community as family compounds right next door, very interesting if they are involved in ceremonial preparations, very friendly, invite you in etc.
For snorkeling we are going with Easy Divers which is on the main road near Jubawa. Their prices half the cost of Taman Sari for a snorkeling trip over to Menjangan and good customer service on email queries too.
