granted South Australia is one of the almost forgotten states re the airlines heading to Bali but I suppose we have to grateful that least these days that we have even one direct airline that can get us there.
We got the girls to the airport almost 3 hours before their flight & it took a full 55 minutes to get to the check in desk because only 2 check in desks for Pacific Blue were opened & they seemed to be on go slow because of a school group.Advise for anyone flying out from SA - get to the airport early OR you will be in line for longer than a hour.Pacific/Virgin Blue do NOT provide many check in staff. When we flew out 2 1/2 months ago check in took less than 30 minutes.

The girls wanted me me to see them through check in & had hoped I would have been able to stay longer & help them at duty free with buying a new camera but time ran out & I couldn't wait any longer.Hubby had a 7.30am board meeting so we had to leave.

The 3rd counter eventually opened just just before the 2 hour mark & at that stage there was still a huge queue of people behind us just as the girls were checking in.The 3rd check in staff member refused to make eye contact as the girls were waiting to check in & seemed to be taking her time in getting set up at her desk.

There was a huge group of high school kids in full uniform that seemed to take forever to process & I felt sorry for others behind in the queue but then again maybe they should have gotten to the airport earlier like we did.
Just spoke to the girls as they were boarding - a full 30 minutes before take off.The flight is completely full & they hope to get some sleep by wearing their eye masks. They were pleased they got an aisle & a middle seat as they requested.
