Greenfields is a lovely place but not in MF Rd - it is Jl Hanuman on the other side of the monkey forest. The Hotel runs shuttles BUT there are many parts of Ubud without mobile coverage to call to be picked up, even in the shopping areas. The cheapest rooms are very good at about Rp 250K double inc a pretty good breakfast (aircon, fridge no TV). Almost always fully booked but worth a try.
You could also try Adi Cottages in the middle of MF Rd - can book through Asia Rooms - cheaper. Probably about AUD$50/room/night inc basic brekky. Non aircon rooms cheaper.
