well back to reality after 2 weeks in bali wasnt planned ahead just last minute jump on a plane and go.Dont do interesting jbrs so Ill keep it simple - weather perfect not to hot except lots rain last 4 days dont mind it too much except the taxis take delight in splashing you with water when you wave them by.Rupiah kept going down while we there hovered around 7500 rupiah. Not so busy except lots lots aussies, found prices a bit higher than normal especially food prices.Melasti spa was a regular haunt only because I know the staff so well but have to admit the girls sitting oposite on corner gang abdi won us over and we had amazing massages in little room behind shops for 50,000rup probably the best were ever had in bali sure no opulent decor but clean and the girls were amazing. The house we rented Ive stayed many times my sisters first was fantasic as usual so private same price as most hotels our rooms combined price.5 staff, driver security guard large pool cooked breakfast everyday peace and quiet perfect.Bought some beautiful bedspreads and homewares from Popo Shop in rum jungle road so modern and great prices.Tommys Cafe for the ice coffees and salad rolls,The coffee shop for snacks and great coffee new aussie owners doing great job, tried the new coffee shop padma utara next to fairy shop didnt impress me even though had few good comments on here bit to westernise for me pay at counter staff to trendy lacks that personal bali touch coffee way to strong for us(thats personal)jaffle overcooked and not much filling owner only been to bali once before seemed nice but didnt seem to understand the bali way of life to much constantly critised the balinese as if they were hopeless.Wish them all the best but mmm!!! would like them to be in bali and bit a bit more bali orienated they were packed most days - mostly aussies dont get why we aussies flock to aussie style cafes when theres so many great little places with so much culture, anyway thats a personal choice Im sure each to their own!Garuda not full over and less full back service exceptional as always, to the very loud whinging aussies who didnt get their seats by the door then demanded two rows to themselves and wouldnt share with anyone hope it was worth the evil looks everyone gave you both.Checked out the trees that I commented on and was shot down for being too emotional by the way still are they are ugly these skinny palm trees all set in rows along legian and kuta beaches got lots comments from expats living there who said it starting to look like Miami Beach.Had delicious food at the new restaurant called Cnr.66 restaurant in jalan 66 the food is varied and so tasty yum would eat anything there.Pumpkin ravoli at Seaside overlooking the beach and then out of the norm - pizza hut pizzas at Galleria Shopping Centre my god the vegetarian well Im hooked!well bit boring but thats how I saw it will post some more boring bits if anyone interested later?
