Stayed from 18th - 27th May '10. Old story, you get what you pay for but for 2 star, quite okay. Some disappointments but that comes with the turf. Toilet very cramped and unpleasant had to be the worst fault with room. Staff very friendly and pleasant except for a couple of guys at reception; P.R. skills could do with coaching.
Meals okay but restricted in variety. Pool definitely nowhere near beach; access to beach about 10 minute walk through up market hotel or very narrow high concrete walled lane-way.
Lots of markets and restaurants within easy walking distance but very narrow and hazardous pedestrian paths most of the way; we recommend "Indo-national" and "Mondoes" restaurants; turn left exiting Hotel then follow 'S' bend and "Mondoes" on right a little way along up stairs; follow road to end, turn left then "Indo-national" on right about 500 mtrs. Aussie operated and owned. Good tucker.
Back to Hotel: Pool and Bar very nice, water sparkling but heavy green algae under ledge around bar a bit 'off-putting'.
Music every Tuesday and Friday evenings 'Amateurish' but good fun and easy listening. Room cleaning/servicing prompt and good.
Summarise: Okay for a low-cost budget Holiday but we prefer 'Sanur'.
We hope this info helps someone. Have fun and Best wishes from Dave and Di'.
