when you return if you have goods worth more than $900 ( less depreciation which depends on time), not including personal item such as clothing etc, you are liable to pay the duty back !! each adult has a $900 concession which you can pool, eg 2 adults = $1800,
So an expensive lap top or camera could fall into this catagory. If its under the concession its no problem.
