You are allowed 20kg of luggage on International blue saver fares.
You are not 'officially' allowed to take food on the plane. In saying that, I normally do have food with me for the kids but I wouldn't be openly displaying it. I've never had them say anything. The prices are really quite reasonable (you can look up their onboard menu on their website) and we usually buy drinks and additional stuff on the plane.
Perth - Bali is now only via credit card, don't know if that is the same as other routes.
I've got to say (and I'm not having a dig at you : ) )that I'm constantly surprised when people complain about having to pay for 'stuff' and pillows/blankets on these cheaper airlines. Tiger, Virgin, Jetstar, AA are all low-cost airlines, regardless of what fare they may have charged you! I for one am happy to pay the much cheaper fares and only pay for the extras that I need. If people want full service then they need to fly with Qantas/Garuda where it will be supplied, at a cost of course!
We fly from Perth (am going with AA tonight) so being only 3hrs we can usually get away with none of the extras. On a recent flight to HK with AA I just took the kids a blanket and pillow although you can buy a comfort pack on most of these airlines that would have them in it.
Have a look on their website as most of the info you're after is there. I think their food prices are pretty reasonable, definitely more so than the airport! Paying by c/c is annoying but oh well!
Have a great trip. We've flown with VB a few times and always found them good. Only issue is if you're travelling with kids they sit you up the back of the plane, regardless of whether you request the front! : )
