Air Vs Fast Boat Gili's

Just wanting advice on the best (fastest & cheapest) way to get to Gili Trawangan. We don't want to be stuck on a boat for hours and the fast boats may be too much on our budget as looks like about $100 each, each way?? Has anybody flown?
