any of the Alam properties, ie Alam Indah, Alam Shanti (ranked #1) and Alam Jiwa which are all just south of the Monkey Forest.
There is, (also part of the Alam group) Kebun Indah which is very close to Tegal Sari.
Saren Indah (ranked #12) also just south of the Monkey Forest is supposedly very good also.

I haven't actually stayed at any of these as it happens, but believe they are small boutique (Tegal Sari-like) hotels that get very good reports from people here on the forum.

I have stayed at the Tjampuhan Hotel which is the other (western) side of Ubud and is in a lovely 'jungle' setting perched on the side of a ravine running down to the river.
It's a very authentic 'Balinese-style' resort (no TV) and I believe the oldest hotel in Ubud. It is, however, a 10-15 minute walk to the Ubud market.

And of course, right next door to Tegal Sari is the 'almost as nice' Greenfield Hotel.

Just google search any of these places to look at their websites.

Hope this helps.
