...16 years ago most of Garuda's fleet were aged and there was little money to cover all the maintenance needed on all the planes. My last trip with them was delayed 2 hours at departure for 'technical problems'. Just before leaving, we were informed there was a problem with one of the doors. At take off, all the cabinets in galley popped open and banged back and forth while we were gaining altitude. I was sitting near one of the doors, and had ice-cold feet the whole flight (17 hours) which led me to the conclusion that the door was NOT 100% sealed. I already said I was happy to see that they got their s*it together, but I am talking REAL problems, not uncomfortable seating or dull food, and problems from way back when, not necessarily from today.
