Baru Jari, which is part of Mt Rinjani, has been erupting for the past year. Saturday night it was active again. You can still trek Rinjani, although you can't camp by the lake. There have been no evacuations of villages on the slopes. Some ash has fallen on crops growing on Rinjani's slopes.
