Because they wont give advise like this. If a condition is diagnosed after the premium was paid, but there were symptoms before the policy was taken out, then it is a pre existing condition (eg - um, tummy problems pre purchase but then cancer diagnosis after purchase)
If you break your leg after you have purchased, but before you travel, then not pre-existing.
They will check your Doctors records - they have that right, so if you told the Doctor you have had symptoms for over say, 12 months but didnt go to the Doctor, then it was diagnosed, then you will not be covered as it is pre-existing, even if not diagnosed until after purchase.
