I posted earlier regarding my fall at our hotel and my subsequent transfer to BIMC by ambulance. Dislocated my knee on slippery floor. Ouch, every time I think about it. Anyway by the time I left BIMC the bill was $1200. I had travel insurance covered by my NAB Gold Visa card which I had never used before.
I just phoned the insurance company and they told me a cheque is on its way for the full amount less $200 excess. Pretty happy with that. After this happening and can see what costs it could have been if I had actually broken my leg, I will never leave home without travel insurance. The credit card insurance seems to cover the same as the ones you purchase, but will always be double checking from now on.
Before this happened the holiday was fantastic. Found Kuta Town Houses really good. Had a great day at Waterbom Park. Glad I got that in before I ended up with my leg in a brace and on crutches.
