I have had my ears syringed a few times, but the last time was terrible. The nurse had the setting to high and I leapt out of the chair. I was so angry. Anyway, the wax came out but ever since then I have had a slight ringing in my ears. I have also had three ear infections in that ear since the syringing was done in October 2009 with the fourth infection starting up now. I'm told by the DR ear infections are a side effect of syringing. Unless the doctor says it really needs doing, I would look for alternatives such as the ear candles....good luck
