Hi, have stayed at the Kuta townhouses, yes the taxi's can be a problem however most are ok. Have also stayed at the Ida, wouldn't stay there with an older person, two many steps unless you stayed in a bungalow which are great and is a great location right near Matahari's. Have also stayed at the Adi Dharma, this would be also a good option, the rooms are large and the pool area is great. Have a great trip
