Dependendent upon arrival time it can be more feasable to hire a car for a few hours. Taxis are not cheap & arterial roads are jammed with traffic to/from the city at peak periods.

The city area is very small - afresco dining and lots of pubs along the Mitchell St strip. One of the nicest places to eat is 10 Litchfield a hidden gem in the city.

From the Airport the drive thru Nightcliff Foreshore - then to Fannie Bay - Mindl Beach & Cullen Bay is worth it.

The City doesnt have a beach as such. Its more of a wharf precinct.

Airport resort Hotel is very expensive for food and drinks.
The gateway Airport hotel as you exit the Airport on Mc Millans Road is a cheaper option.
