You can use ANY australian issued card in any Bali ATM, regardless of which bank its issued from.... PROVIDING... that somewhere on your card (usually on the back) it has ONE of the following -
the PLUS symbol
the CIRRUS symbol
the MAESTRO symbol.
If your card has any one of these symbols... it means that your card is installed with a program that allows you to access your money overseas - exactly the same as you would in Australia.
For example;
If you would normally choose the savings account option at an Australian ATM to withdraw cash, then this is the account you will choose at an ATM in Bali...
(providing your card has PLUS,CIRRUS,or MAESTRO installed.)
The Cirrus, Maestro or Plus symbols - only apply to the SAVINGS and CHEQUE options on your card.

If you were to select the CREDIT option at an ATM in Bali (or Australia) to withdraw cash....... The transaction isn't processed by cirrus, plus or maestro - Instead the credit option on your card is processed by either VISA, MASTERCARD, AMEX, etc...

The most important thing to remember when using ATMS in Bali - is that the ATM dispensing order is different....
In Australia you will always have your card returned first, then you get your cash and then your receipt.
In Bali the ATM dispensing order is backwards - Cash first, then Reciept, then your Card.
In Bali a lot of people walk off without their card - as they are used to it being returned first.

So in short -
To withdraw from the SAVINGS or CHEQUE options on your card, it must have either the Cirrus or Plus symbols imprinted somewhere on the card.
To withdraw from the CREDIT option on your card , it must have either Visa, Mastercard, Amex, etc. symbols imprinted on the card.
and most importantly.....MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR CARD BACK... before you walk away !!!
