I made enquiries with NIB health fund and their lame excuse for not paying benefits for overseas dental work was that they found it too complicated to check if the dentist was licensed to practice and had a provider number and to check the validity of the receipts as they all have different item numbers for each procedure. However, if you paid in full for the dental work you may find that it is still cheaper than if you made a claim on your health fund as they only pay a small portion of the account anyway. Hope this helps.
