We have used the Pro XL sim card in our phone and then used that as a modem to the laptop whilst in our rooms at our hotel. I believe the Indosat sim card is cheaper and more reliable. I'm sorry I don't have prices for you. You can also buy the dongle/stick/usb thingy with sim card at indosat and that then connects to your laptop for use anywhere.
You will find that most hotels now have a scheme with either, free wifi throughout the hotel, or in particular places in the hotel,or buy a card that gives you internet wireless access via password to be used within the hotel at a given place, or paid wireless at a given area in the hotel.
Quite a few restaurants now offer free wifi if you buy a drink or a meal, these could be in your hotel
