Have had wheelchair assist for our son twice . As others have posted it has to be done through the airline itself . I know with Garuda they insisted on a pre exisisting medical condition form being filled out by your doctor if this wasn't done they would refuse to fly you . Also enquire if the flights embarking and disembarking proceedors as in the case last time we went with our son embarking in Bali for return flight involved the stairs to plane .
It used to be the case when someone from the airline would meet your travelling party and get all passports and visas sorted but with the new system in place I don't think that will happen , What they may do is take you through some offical channels to cut out the waiting time in ques ect similier to VIP/VOA but without the cost involved as it is a free service .
On check in for your return flight you may have to go through the same proccess re the medical form but without the doctors imput. All of this proccess can and is frustrating but has to be done . That of course if they haven't changed the proccess in the last 18mths.
