a K1wi( and naturally proud of the fact) and can do a pretty bloody good Haka if pressed, but have never called myself an expat.
I also have an aversion with liasions with 4 legged animals.
I envisage an expat as wearing a shirt and tie with car and driver to his air conned office in the CBD.
That's far too pretentious for people with a small business in Bali. We merely live in Bali most of the time.
Sarcastic, well that's a matter of opinion. If the poster wanted an opinion on Australian law would he ask a Forum made up of mostly Indonesians for advice - I don't think so, he would ask his Australian lawyer.
Every time I see a post asking for medical or legal advice viv a vis Indonesia I'm in boots and all as people's well meaning advice is never as good as professional advice and can lose you huge money or even kill you.
As I posted a week or so ago with a punter with allergy problems wanting advice from the Forum on innoculations. Back in Aussie would you ask medical advice of your mechanic and take your car to your doctor?
The poster is going to leave their entire estate to a Balinese family and want to have some legal certainty that it is distributed as they envisage.
If it's sarcastic to suggest he consult an Indonesian based lawyer rather than a bunch of people who have travelling to Bali as their common denominater then I go he.
Never mind and apart from taking advice to see a lawyer in Indonesia be very carefull about taking me seriously.
