we had my husband 50th in bali last june, with around 10 people one couple bali virgins so even though we stayed in legian we wanted to show them other sites they were only there for 4 nights. We decided to go to ubud as it is a nice drive we left legian around 5pm and had roadies on the way, stopped a boutique hotel near ubud with the most beautiful scenery took photos then off to indes (spelling) for dinner out on the terrace I organised all from australia as rest. owned by aussie they did the cake for me as well. Husband thought it was great as did all our guests. Another suggestion is ma jollys at tuban. Right on the beach beautiful food but is expensive but at sunset a great view. Hope this helps
