Beginning of this week rate was between 8150 - 8300 from "reputable" money changers. I pay my voa with an A$50 and get change in rp for taxi etc. I did look at Sydney airport exchange rate out of curiosity and they said rp6000 so better to change there. I usually change $100 at a time and thats a easy round figure to convert.
