ten years ago i was nearly bitten by a cobra at Kuta puri bungalows in poppies 1. Dont know if it was someones pet snake that got loose. But glad a friend got it away from me. I spend alot of time on the east coast and have to watch out for the really bright green skinny snakes that like the rice paddies, they are really venomous, so dont go playing with them, they are not a harmless tree snake like in Oz.
Had a close encounter with another snake on our patio in Ubud, but it soon took off. Snakes are every where in the world, dont let it spoil ur holiday. Just keep ur distance and they will soon go away :)
