I forget how many metres are required for a pair of jeans. House of Komang told me to go to Spotlight in Perth. The sales staff at any haberdashery should be able to tell you how much fabric you need. If not, check out a pattern book. Son luckily ended up getting 2 pairs of black stretch denim jeans at the Surf Outlets.
I recommend buying good quality black thread & taking a pair of jeans you like to be copied (they won't be cut in any way).
