of upgrade at Barong Hotel when I strolled through 2 weeks ago - still looked the same as when I stayed there 10 years ago and just like then the back pool had a footy looking crowd who looked like the same crowd when we stayed. Note that I have anything against the footy crowd and when I went for our first swim in the back pool with my 4yo they where all nice and friendly to us but I seem to recall last time hearing one of the footy fellas telling his mate he had been there all arvo and had sunk 15 beers and had been out of the pool...I assumed he was joking but we stuck to the front pool after hearing that ... nothing against them sinking a lot of piss in the pool just didn't want my daughter swimming in it too...Oh and we enjoyed our stay in our small room at the front and swimming in the front pool (with the added excitment of watching the local police troup through to the back pool every second day - never found out why though) so no complaints for a budget hotel fitted the bill..
