I sell coolers here in Syd, and I remember that they cost around the same as home (in the cheaper variety). Depending on what exactly you are using it for, you might find a good quality soft cooler from Aus a better option. There are also some new slimline highly efficient cooler bricks on the market. We are taking a soft cooler, but I have always found that the hotels are happy to supply plenty of ice.
