Seeing as you bothered to google, you may be interested in the subject. So this not to tell you off.

The dates for Ramadan are the same all over the world. It makes no difference whether it's North America or Australia. Ramadan officially starts when the religious leaders sight the moon, so occasionally it is a +/- a day. Don't know what you read on google but it was obviously wrong, not even for a wrong year because Ramadan is 30 days, not 2 months.

Islam is on a different calendar, and the year is slightly shorter than the Gregorian calendar we use. So, each year Ramadan seems to be 2 weeks earlier than last year. For Muslims it is at the same time each year on their calendar, which is a lunar calendar.
