hotel and walk towards the bitang supermarket, just before you get to the supermarket is a very narrow set of stairs. A balinese guide was standing at the foot of the stairs and encouraged us to go up and see the view. We took the stairs and followed the pathway at the top between some high walls. It opened to rice paddies and he led us through a track and started to take us on a "scenic walk". After a short walk we ended up turning back as some of the steps were a bit rikety and I was with my mum and godmum who are both over 70. But it was very pretty and would have been quite good if we were more prepared for a bit of a hike. He then took us for a short cut through the side of some houses to get to the Bintang supermarket.
