street signs (if there are any) are posted at the entrance to the street, but at 90 degrees.
So when you see a sign, you may think that it for the street that it is aligned with, as is the way in most other places.
For instance, Poppies Lane 2 is virtually opposite the memorial on Legian St.
If there was a sign for Poppies 2(not sure if there is) it will be fixed in the alignment with Legian St, but fixed "across" the entrance to Poppies 2.
Confusing eh??!
Wrap your basic Kuta map in a copy of the Jakarta Post and read it that way.
They will think you are a seasoned traveller?!
