and all the roads were sealed off in the area. traffic from bemo corner to the beach was re-routed and, of course, no cars were allowed into the Kuta Square area. fire trucks were coming from everywhere and there was a huge plume of smoke over the area for a while.
apparently it was an electrical fault and nobody was injured. newspapers are reporting that tourists are 'shaken' but i think they must be a bunch of scaredy cats. there were no injuries reported.
nothing happening here folks...keep moving on. ;-)
