You still pay US$25 at payment counter then move on to Immigration Officer who takes half of your receipt and places sticker in your passport - EXACTLY as always.

Fingerprinting and Photograph are done as you pass-through the actual Immigration Area where they stamp your Passport.

There is NO CHARGE for photograph or fingerprinting as it is simply part of the standard Immigration process.

As I said in my previous post, I was impressed with how the camera and finger/thumb print pad (you do the four fingers of both hands - one hand at a time and then both thumbs...so need to use fingerprint pad on three occasions) were built into the Immigration Desks here in Jakarta and how quickly the process was carried-out.

I can assure you it is no great drama or inconvenience so just go with the flow because there's nothing you can do about it anyway and Indonesia is only coming into line with many other countries world-wide.

If they can have the cameras/print pads set-up promptly on ALL of Bali's Immigration Counters you should not see any real delays. They had banners at VOA Payment area explaining the process so that passengers would be aware of the requirements when they reached Immigration clearance point.
